He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Bynum and Katie Jane Truluck Bynum; his wife Margaret Swords Bynum; his daughter Judy Bynum McKinnon; his son-in-law Steve Belcher; and his stepdaughter Ann Rhodes.
He is survived by: his daughter Martha Bynum Belcher of Moultrie; his son-in-law Mark McKinnon of Norman Park; his grandchildren, Joseph McKinnon of Boston, John Belcher (Chrissie) of Augusta, Andrew Belcher (Shannon) of Pelham and Stephanie Lundy (Chase) of Macon; his stepchildren, Buck Cooper (Linda) of Patterson, William Cooper (Mary) of Patterson, Delma Connell (Robert) of Moultrie, Tommy Cooper (Vickie) of Blackshear and Wanda Thompson (Ken) of Grand Cayman, Island; and his stepson-in-law Mike Rhodes. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
