He is survived by: his son Charles Wayne Cooper, Jr.; his grandsons, Alexander Michael Gursky, Charles Wayne Cooper III and Harrison Wright Cooper; his nephew Colonel Thomas E. Lewis, Jr.; his niece Laura Lewis Madison; and his sister-in-law Elaine E. Lewis.
