He was predeceased by: his parents, George Harper and Mattie Price Harper; his son Ronnie Harper; and his siblings, Jack Harper, Joseph Harper, Willie B. Harper, Levi Harper, Freddie Lee Harper, Jennie Mae Rogers, Beulah Edmonds and Minnie Bell Seay.
He is survived by: his wife Carrie Benton Harper of Moultrie, Georgia; his children, Charzell Stamper, Jr. (Louise) of Albany, Randy Harper of Atlanta, Frederick Harper, Sr. (Addie) of Moultrie, Georgia, Gail Harper Marks of Moultrie, Veronice Brooks (Jimmy) of Jacksonville, Teresa Harper of Orlando, Wanda Harper Bradley (Tony) of Atlanta and Kimberly Hightower of Tallahassee, Florida; and his godsons, Frederick Hawkins (Jennifer) of Doerun and Nathaniel Hendry of Moultrie. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Luke Strong and Son Mortuary, Ltd. (20 First St NE, Moultrie, GA 31768). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greater Newton Grove Cathedral (722 2nd Ave NW, Moultrie, GA 31768).
