As Dewey departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dewey may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dewey leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Elijah Lastinger and Mary Evelyn Buckner Lastinger; his wife Gayle Elaine Murphy Lastinger; and his brother Donnie Lastinger. He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Dawn Lastinger Johnson (Gregg) of Sunset, LA; his siblings, Huey Allen Lastinger of Cumming, GA, Alda Townsend of Gainesville, GA and Janice Godfrey Lastinger of Cumming, GA; and his grandsons, Brandon Tyler Johnson (Olivia) of Cantonment, FL and Garrett Taylor Johnson of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
