She was predeceased by: her parents, James Richard Gay and Bessie Mae Batten Gay; her husband Reverend Herbert Lee Waid; her children-in-law, Anne Coad Waid and Daniel McVety; and her siblings, Cula Mae Gay Watson, Hazel Gay Sasser, Frances Gay Vernosky and Cecil Gay.
She is survived by: her children, Reverend Peter Waid, Nancy Thiessen (Royce), Darlene McVety, Penelope Wilkinson (Kevin) and Amy Dykxhoorn (Jacob); and her friend Dorothy Hardin. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
