She was predeceased by: her father Modesto Alvarez; her brother Michael Alvarez; and her stepbrothers, Donald Chance and Ronnie Chance. She is survived by: her mother Dora Santos Chance of Florida; her children, Michael Rodriguez (DeAna) of Beverly Hills, Anthony Rodriguez (Christy) of Raiford, Florida, Melissa Slanker (Robert) of Hernando and Brandie Ward (Dale) of Wildwood, Florida; her brother Ronald Alvarez (Tawanna) of Slyvester, Georgia; her stepbrother Michael Chance of Jacksonville, Florida; and her sister-in-law Elly Chance of Jacksonville. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
