He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elijah Asbell and Lillie Mae Crosby Asbell. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Jordan Asbell; his children, Cindy Phillips (James), Brett Asbell (Deana) and Sally O'Hearn (Troy); his grandchildren, Chris Phillips (Kaylynn), Amber Phillips (Christy), Felicia Ponder, Carson Asbell (Sugeili), Alanna McCook (Justin), Kendall Sloan (Heather) and Chelsey Sloan; and his great grandchildren, Logan Ponder, Lance Ponder, Brayden Lewis, Skyleigh Lawson, Jackson Sloan, Lane Hutto, Landon Hutto, Luke Hutto, Calleigh McCook, Brantley McCook, Gracie Marrero, Cadance Phillips, Alyvia Phillips, Khloe Phillips and Madison Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Kingwood Baptist Church building fund or a favorite charity.
