He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lee Hood and Alice Tanner Hood; his wife Dorothy Inez Darby Hood; his grandchildren, Jessica Lamon, Jaci Miller and Aiden Hobgood; and his sisters, Lettie Claudine Hood Welch and Mary Hood.
He is survived by: his daughters, Debra Lamon (Clyde), Janet Stephens (Jerry) and Lisa Rentz (Wayne); and his siblings, Betty Jarrard, Jerald Hood (Nancy), Florence Ballard (Larry), Frances Crawford and Martha Warren. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to either Hopewell Baptist Church or to a charity of your choosing.
