He was predeceased by: his father Lewis "Bud" Coleman Pittman; his son Michael Pittman; his mother-in-law Evie Cooper Hart; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Thompson and Buddy Hart.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Hart Pittman of Moultrie; his son Matthew Pittman (Grace) of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Madeline Pittman and Phillip Pittman; his siblings, Stan Pittman (Betty) of Moultrie and Karen Thompson (Steve) of Moultrie; his siblings-in-law, Robin Hester (James) of Pavo, Laverne Sapp (Jason) of Norman Park, Lanelle Schramm (Glynn) of Valdosta, Diantha Hart of Douglas, Ed Hart (Joan) of Pavo and Rudene Thompson of Irwinville; and his pets, Tink and Dink. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that all donations be made to the funeral home in his loving memory.
