He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Grady McKinnon, Sr. and Estelle McDonald McKinnon; his wife Judy Lynn Bynum McKinnon; his daughters, Mary Allison McKinnon and Sherry Lynn McKinnon; his siblings, Edward Grady McKinnon, Jr., Henry McKinnon, Veronica McKinnon Hope and Geneva McKinnon; and his brother-in-law Paul Hope.
He is survived by: his son Joseph McKinnon (Melanie) of Boston, Georgia; his grandson Elijah McKinnon of Snellville; his siblings, Tommy McKinnon (Susan) of Albany, Jimmy McKinnon (Dorine) of St. Petersburg, Florida and Mareice McKinnon Cook of Albany; his sisters-in-law, Shelby McKinnon of Douglas and Shirley McKinnon of Pearson; his great-niece Meagan McKinnon; and his friend Keith Cole.
