Mary Ruth Pitts Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 12, 2025, Mary Ruth Pitts of Moultrie, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Leonard Bailey and Mary Willis Bailey; her husband Warren M. Pitts; her daughter Nancy Leigh Pitts; and her siblings, Dorothy Lovell, Herschel Bailey and Herbert Bailey.
She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Thaggard (Dickey), Dr. Marc Pitts (Nicole) and Ben Pitts (Marcia); her grandchildren, Jason Thaggard (Lisa), Trey Pitts, Zed Thaggard (Gina) and Dr. Sam Pitts (Brooke); and her great grandchildren, Jackson Thaggard, Adalyn Downs, Warren Pitts, Harper Pitts, Chandlee Pitts, Andi Pitts, Anna Ruth Pitts, Casey Pitts, Micki Pitts and Tucker Pitts. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Sharon Baptist Church (231 Sam Sells Rd, Doerun, GA 31744). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rose of Sharon Baptist Church or to a charity of your choosing.
