He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ross Thomas, Sr. and Cora Belle Castleberry Thomas; his wife Sybil Sullivan Thomas; his son Anthony Thomas; his granddaughter Lucy Eleanor Thomas; and his brothers, Ross Thomas, Jr. and Arnold Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Alison Thomas Watkins (Brian) of Lake Park and Bob Thomas (Theresa) of Moultrie, Georgia; his grandchildren, Abby Watkins, Kyle Watkins (Emme) of Lake Park, Henry Thomas (Allie), Fielding Thomas Bueno (Alexis), Presley Thomas and Hannah of Savannah, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Leah Tourtellott, Ila Tourtellott, Hollis Watkins of Lake Park, Olivia Thomas and Roman Bueno of Moultrie, Georgia; and his sisters-in-law, Vivian Vines Thomas and Sally Parks Thomas.
