Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bert Samuel Cooper of Mount Airy, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 85, on June 22, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Cooper and Lillie Mae Wilson Cooper; his grandson Jeremy Cooper; and his siblings, Charlene Isaacs, Frances Stancil, Ola Mae Qualls, Frankie Blackwell, Wayne Cooper and Sandra Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Franklin Cooper; his sons, Wendell Cooper (Sandra), Wesley Cooper, Mitchell Cooper and Michael Cooper; his grandchildren, Wesley Cooper, Jr., Kyle Dorsey, Chad Cooper (Brittany), Cassie Cooper, Tyler Cooper (Stephanie Thigpen), Clara Cooper, Brittany Cooper and Daniel Cooper; his great grandchildren, Kingston Cooper, Eli Cooper, Cohen Cooper, Cameron Dorsey, Chloe Dorsey, Hannah, Emma and Marlee Johnson; and his siblings, Fred Cooper and Jean McClamma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & McEntire (175 VFW Rd, Cornelia, GA 30531). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made, in memory of Sam, to Chopped Oak Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1445, Clarkesville, GA 30523.
