He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Garrett and Callie Lee Franklin Garrett; and his brother Robert James Garrett. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dill Garrett of Mt. Airy; his children, Darryl Wayne Garrett (Trish) of Clarkesville, Hillard Kyle Garrett (Keri) of Laurens and Cynthia Garrett London (Lindsey) of Mt. Airy; his sister Mary Lee Scott of Mt. Airy; and his grandchildren, Christopher Parker, Elshia Armour, Anthony London, Adriana Woodall, Adam Woodall, Emma Garrett and Eli Garrett. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillside Memorial Chapel (5495 GA-197, Clarkesville, GA 30523). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
