She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence McDuffie and Helen Myers McDuffie; her husband Gerald Whitmire; and her siblings, Bertie Chaffin, Louise Parker and Howard McDuffie.
She is survived by: her son Steve; her daughter-in-law Tracy Lewallen of Baldwin; her daughter Denise Carey of Cumming; her stepdaughters, Jerri D. Butts of Florida, Carol Beth Medler of North Carolina and Sherri Orcut of North Carolina; and her siblings, Ann Reems (Pat Alexander) of Baldwin and Lonnie McDuffie of Cleveland. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
