He was predeceased by: his parents, William Castalow Burton and Ora Lee Ansley Burton; his siblings, Elwanda Combs and Richard Burton; and his nieces, Celeste Combs and Emilee Burton.

He is survived by: his sister Betty M. Simpson; his brother-in-law Ken Simpson; and his nieces and nephews, Glenna Combs, Addie Jo Combs, Christy Combs, Mandi Simpson, Shawn Burton and Shannon Burton. He is also survived by other relatives, church family, and friends.
