He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dan McCorvey and Mary Alice Dillard McCorvey; his wife Myrtice Kirkland McCorvey; and his siblings, Bessie Lawson, Ola Mae Mathis, J. W. McCorvey, Evans McCorvey and Marvin McCorvey.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Powell (Keith) of Nashville and Patti Karras (Mark) of Valdosta; his sister Mary Sumner of Nashville; his grandchildren, Ryan Powell (Raquel) of Valdosta, Maggie Miller (Jon) of Valdosta, Carter Karras (Cady) of Birmingham, AL and Kristin Barker (Clay) of Nashville; and his great grandchildren, Anaiah, Micaiah, Elim, Blakely, Bo, Angelica, Jack, Emory, Henry, Wyn, Ruby and Charlie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
