He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Clayton "D. C." May and Kathleen Mildred Bailey May; his wife Nancy Margaret Laymon May; and his brothers, Billy Jack May and Dewey May (Beatrice May).
He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn Hancock (Randy) of Nashville and Michelle Teegardin (Jon) of Tifton; his brother Wayne May (Barbara) of Nashville; his grandchildren, Cortney May, Kaitlyn Teegardin, Collin Teegardin, Dale Hancock and Hannah Hancock; and his sister-in-law Weida May of Nashville.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home (1218 Adel Hwy, Nashville, GA 31639).
