It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven Max Rice of Nevils, Georgia, born in Logansport, Indiana, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, may Steven Max find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Rice and Irmadean Wilson; and his brother Timothy Rice. He is survived by: his wife Ring Gonzales Rice; his daughter Kathyrn Ann Rice; and his siblings, James Lee Rice, Janet Novak, Sousanne Rice, Tommy Mallory, Bradley Croy and Robert Neil Rice. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Catholic Church (221 John Paul Ave, Statesboro, GA 30458).
