She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Brong Carpenter and Homer Carl Brong; her husband Robert Mitchell Ferguson; her stepfather S. Wharton Carpenter; and her sister Charlotte Jones.
She is survived by: her brother Ervin Carl Brong (Beverly) of Myrtle Beach; her daughters, Barbara Eckart (Lee), Bryn Eckart (James) and Brooke Lawson (Christopher); and her grandchildren, Caleb Eckart, Rachel Mundinger, Audrey Ball, Katherine Lawson and Gabriel Lawson. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
