She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Moody and Rose Locke Moody; her husband Jim Burke; and her son-in-law Bill Jones. She is survived by: her daughters, Lauren Jones, Roslyn Dowis (Bill) and Kay Burke (Wayne); her grandchildren, Burke Dowis (Eveie), Stanford Jones, Jake Bowen and Ashley Bowen; and her great grandchild Mara Rose Dowis.
She was a charter member of the Newnan Carnegie Library Foundation, formerly Friends of the Carnegie, and was instrumental in its early formation, including the introduction of Southern LitFest.
