He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Zimmerman and Mildred Zimmerman (Aicher); his brother Donald Zimmerman; and his brother-in-law Gary Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Courtney Steger (Nathan), Cody Zimmerman (Stephanie) and Kelsey Aguirre (Justin); his grandchildren, Gavin Staedler, Rylan Steger, Colson, Callen, Cade Zimmerman, Vianna, Gabriel and Ellis Aguirre; and his siblings, Diane Fassbender (Will), Mary Crass (Jerry), Ken Zimmerman, Dan Zimmerman (Bonnie), Jane Carriveau (Lon), Art Zimmerman, Kathy Nelson (Dale), Carol Pattee (Gordy), Annette Porter (Brian) and Deb Noonan (Brian). He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Hartford Town Hall (3360 Co Rd K, Hartford, WI 53027).
In lieu of flowers, any donations to the family will go towards a Lambeau Field Memorial Brick.
