It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris L. Lassetter of Newnan, Georgia, who passed away on August 2, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Earl Roden, Sr. and Mary Claudia Combs Roden; her husband Thomas Edward Lassetter; and her brothers, Cecil Earl Roden, Jr. and Michael David Roden.
She is survived by: her son Daniel Stephens (Star) of Delta, Alabama; her grandchildren, Hunter Stephens of Delta, Alabama and Hannah Stephens of Franklin, Georgia; and her siblings, Patricia Kree of Newnan, Barbara Jo Massey (Bill) of Forsyth, Georgia and Steven Wayne Roden of Newnan, Georgia..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKoon Funeral Home (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263).
