It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gilda Cabassa Cooper of Newnan, Georgia, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jaime Cabassa and Deadina Cabassa. She is survived by: her husband Andy Cooper; her children, Anne Kostensky (Tom) and Andy Cooper (Julie); her grandchildren, Ryan, Brad (Emilie) and Greg Kostensky; her great grandchild Bradlie-Grace Kostensky; and her sister Rita Thomas (Danny).
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263). A Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. George Catholic Church (771 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or St. George Catholic Church.
