He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Park and James R. McCalla, Jr. (Mack); his former wife Bonnie Lovett (McCalla); and his siblings, Park and Betty McCalla.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Mitchell; his children, Brantley McCalla (Geneva), Matthew McCalla, Eric Mitchell (Holly), Patrick Mitchell (Jane), Devin McCalla Barfield (Joe) and Jennifer Mitchell (Raymond Gonzalez); his siblings, Richard McCalla, Bill McCalla (Laurie), Michael McCalla and Jeanne McCalla; and his grandchildren, Clayton Shell, Ashlee Head, Amberly Nelson, Ethan, Wilson McCalla, Reid, Bonnie James Barfield, Claire, Callie, Elizabeth and Stephen Mitchell.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newnan Presbyterian Church (38 Greenville St S, Newnan, GA 30264).
