Jerry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie McGuffey and Erma Orrick McGuffey; and his sons, Grant McGuffey and Mark McGuffey. He is survived by: his wife Lola Watters McGuffey; his children, Bruce McGuffey and Susan McGuffey Schau; and his brothers, Jim McGuffey (Nancy), Jack McGuffey (Mary) and Joe McGuffey. He is also survived by his family. 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McKoon Funeral Home (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of McKoon Funeral Home (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263).
