We announce the death of Lakesha Lushon Cofer of Newnan, Georgia, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 46. Lakesha will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her brother Richard Jones, Jr.. She is survived by: her parents, Marcus McDaniel and Theresa Hernandez; her children, Elijah, Emmanuel, Taylor, Yhand, Tytiana and Rhonda; her grandchildren, Elias, Ziva, Damian and Iris; and her sisters, Iona Cofer, Cynthia, Marlena and Shanta. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Sellers-Smith R. W. S. Memorial Chapel (168 Greenville St S, Newnan, GA 30263).
