It is with sadness that the passing of Michael Barronton (Newnan, Georgia) is shared. Michael, born on December 18, 1949, passed away on September 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Barronton and June Barronton; and his brother Mark Barronton. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Matteson-Pierson; his children, Melissa Mize (Casey), Lindsey Taylor (Derek) and Patrick Barronton; his stepchildren, Cody and Jordan Pierson; his grandchildren, Caleb, Katelyn, Afton, Peyton and Ryan; his siblings, Garry Barronton (Debbie), Teresa Barronton and Anita Brown (Kevin); and his sister-in-law Debbie Barronton.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (656 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30263). A reception will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newnan Welcome Community Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Michael's memory to make a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation.
