He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Harvey "Jack" Bray and Laura Mai Tucker Bray; his sister Carol Carter; and his significant other Rosalie "Rollie" Bray. He is survived by: his children, Darrell Hynson (Leslie), Marty Hynson (Kathryn), Mike Hynson (Sandy), Tina Scales (Scott), Paula Hedgecoth, John Bray (Melinda) and Daniel Hynson (Rebecca).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Church of God of the Union Assembly (3821 GA-34, Newnan, GA 30263). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
