He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Acey Mitchell and Ethel Marie Kingan; and his sisters, Sandy Reed, Patricia Colegrove and Carolyn Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mitchell; his siblings, Diane Dishong, Pam Bice of Ohio and Dennis Mitchell of Ohio; his children, Karen Rieneckert (Robert) of Tennessee, Moses Mitchell (Hayla) of Bremen and Tina Anderson of Newnan; his grandchildren, Patrick Anderson (Gabriela) of LaGrange, Miranda Mitchell of Carrollton, Kaitlyn Mitchell of Whitesburg and O'Malley Marie Anderson of Newnan; and his great grandchild Isabelle Anderson of LaGrange.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
