He was predeceased by : his wife Lorraine Smolinski Wahnschaff; his brother-in-law Teddy Smolinski; his parents, Ida Tempelhof Wahnschaff and Paul Wahnschaff; and his sister Marianne Wahnschaff Bannister.

He is survived by : his children, Michael Wahnschaff of Atlanta, Steven Wahnschaff of Newnan and Lorain Wahnschaff of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Kurt Wahnschaff (Samantha) and Robby Wahnschaff (Marisa); his great grandchild Joseph Wahnschaff; his son-in-law Theodore Stephen Smolinski (Evelyn); his nephews, Ted and Tom; and his godson Mike (Danny).
