He is survived by: his wife Estelle Patricia Shrum; his children, Michael Richard Shrum (Charlotte) of Fleming Island, FL and Erica Suzanne Hackworth (Dwight) of Newnan, GA; his siblings, Barbara Cole of Sterling Heights, MI and Don Shrum of Prescott, AZ; and his grandchildren, Bryce Michelle Hackworth of Newnan, Grayson Gatis Hackworth of Newnan, Preston Luke Shrum of Fleming Island, FL and Peyton Jade Shrum of Fleming Island, FL..
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McKoon Funeral Home (38 Jackson St, Newnan, GA 30263). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
