Ruby Darlene Higgins Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Darlene Higgins (Newnan, Georgia), born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on October 10, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Claude Hurst and Ruby Christine Thompson Hurst; her husband Glenn P. Higgins, Jr.; her nephew William Charles Hurst; and her parents-in-law, Rev. Glenn P. and Blandiner Higgins.

She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Glenn Higgins, Sr. (Mary); her grandsons, Jeffrey Glenn Higgins, Jr., Jamie, David Paul Higgins and Lindsay; her great grandchildren, Jeffrey Glenn "Jay" Higgins, III, Charlie Buren Higgins and Harvey James Higgins; and her granddaughter Mary Margaret Gail Higgins. She is also survived by numerous cousins and extended family.

Even in decline, she joined the First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange and had hopes of continuing to serve until COVID forced her to retreat.
