He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne Ivey Wood; his father Gerald Wood, Sr.; and his brother Jerry Wood. He is survived by: his son Andrew Wood (Maranda); his grandchildren, Michael Wood of Newnan, Halie Wood of Newnan, Lucas Wood of Newnan, Lillie Tyree, Issac Taft of Hogansville and Addy Marshall of Sharpsburg; his mother Delphine Walters; his siblings, Darlene Johnson of Sanford, NC and John Wood (Anita Wood) of Franklin; and his sisters-in-law, Suki Wood of Columbus and Marsha Carol Veal (Ricky Veal) of LaGrange. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (3989 Corinth Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
