He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Winfield Scott and Augusta Emiline Jones Scott; and his daughter Kelle "Lori" Heath. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Scott Lee (Jeff), Darlene Yother (Jimmy) and Thomas J. Scott, Jr. (Paula); and his grandchildren, Ryan Gates (Megan), Thomas J. Scott, III (Jennifer), Erin Barrett (Andy), Mitzy Mills (Jamie) and Miranda Lancaster (Anthony). He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Chapel (1 Bullsboro Dr, Newnan, GA 30263). A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (656 Roscoe Rd, Newnan, GA 30263).
