He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilner Seegar and Ione Seegar; his sister Charlon Seegar; and his brother-in-law Troy Douthit. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his sister Diane Douthit; and his children, Wendy Henson (Kenny), William Seegar Jr. (Jenny) and Patricia Plowman (Sean). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
