William left this world on March 14, 2026 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenwood Mayo and Maebell Carter Mayo; and his siblings, Elizabeth Arnold, Joey Mayo, Bobby Mayo and Charles Mayo.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra L. Mayo; his son Michael Jerry Mayo (Jennifer); his siblings, Tommy Mayo, Linda Davis and Connie Eanes; and his grandsons, Caleb Michael Mayo (Winter Grace) and Gabriel Michael Mayo.
