Lee Ellen Digby Obituary

We announce the death of Lee Ellen Digby of Newton, Georgia, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Lee will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lee will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Lee will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Lee’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Harold and Clara Lawson. She is survived by: her daughter Terri Digby; her son-in-law John McCarthy; and her grandson Jake McCarthy. She is also survived by numerous other family members and many close friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home (2157 East St, Covington, GA 30014). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the New Covington Cemetery.
