She was predeceased by: her father Felder Smith; her grandsons, Allen Cason and Tristin Aspinwall; and her sister Linda Nell Smith. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" King, III of Nicholls; her children, Julie Cason (Michael) of Patterson, Sandy (Rick Head) and David; her daughter-in-law Rhonda Denison of Jesup; her mother Nellie Steverson Smith of Callahan, FL; and her siblings, Jean Sears of Callahan, Mary Perez (Tony) of Callahan, Nancy Sands of Callahan, Sharon Dixon (Cecil) of Jacksonville and Randall Smith (Liz) of Fort White, FL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pearson-Dial Chapel (659 Main St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
