James Eugene leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. James Eugene’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew James Eugene will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his daughters, Vicki McCauley and Sandra Kirves (Jeff); his granddaughter Lindsay Byers (Joshua); his great grandchildren, Alex, Zachary and Makenzie; and his siblings, Martha Long and Richard McCauley (Kay). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rock Bridge Baptist Church (1012 Rockbridge Rd NW, Norcross, GA 30093). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery (1080 Scott Hudgens Dr, Canton, GA 30114).
