She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Garnie Allen Brand and Oppie Lee Houze Brand; her husbands, Harold B. Griffin and Gordon M. Sumner; her son Harold Bennett Griffin, II (Ben); her granddaughter Madalyn Ann Bennett; and her sister Betty Noel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Glenda Jernigan (Ken) of Lenox and Lauri Jo Bennett (Mike) of Norman Park; her grandchildren, Kristin Jernigan Moore (Eric), Genna Jernigan Mobley (Matt), Joe Ben Griffin (Ashley), Mikelyn Bennett Moore (Buck), Joe Jernigan (Summer) and Hal Bennett; her great grandchildren, Ellie Moore, Jerni Moore, James Mobley, Kate Mobley, Weston Griffin, Bennett Griffin, Molly Moore, Henry Moore, Charlie Moore, William Mobley, Brody Jernigan, John Buck Moore and Riggs Jernigan; and her sister Phyllis Fletcher of Chula.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Baker Funeral Home & Crematory (2222 GA-37, Moultrie, GA 31788). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Mount Olive Baptist Church (126 Mt Olive Church Rd, Moultrie, GA 31788).
