He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Baker and Thelma Thompson Baker; and his brother-in-law Terrell Weeks. He is survived by: his wife Dale Weeks Baker; his children, Joe Baker (Lia), Richard Baker (Kim) and Jennifer Wetherington (Heath); his grandchildren, John Baker (Libby), Parker Baker Bullard (Bryce), Jay Baker, Abby Baker, Andy Baker, Alex Baker, Jacey Wetherington, Libby Wetherington, Sadie Wetherington, Aubrey Wetherington and Katie Wetherington; his great grandchildren, John Thomas Baker and Carter Bullard; and his sisters, Donna Kay Weeks and Teresa Willis (Lindsey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home & Crematory (2222 GA-37, Moultrie, GA 31788).
