He was predeceased by: his parents, Glemon Thigpen and Evelyn Brown Thigpen; his sisters, Kathryn Hebert and Anne Daily; his grandson Brad Thigpen; and his son Danny Harrison.
He is survived by: his wife Annette Poss Thigpen of Thomson; his children, Vickie Glass of Thomson, Lewis Thigpen (Jean) of Warrenton and Bobby Thigpen (Janice) of Warrenton; his brother Gene Thigpen (Barbara) of Harlem; his extended family Fulton; and his grandsons, Michael Thigpen, Matthew Thigpen, Macy Thigpen, Trey Thigpen, Beau Thigpen, Scotty Glass and Sawyer Thigpen (Reese McDaniel). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great‑grandchildren; one great‑great‑grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Macedonia Methodist Church (7257 GA-80, Thomson, GA 30824). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
