It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Duane Lawson of Oakfield, Georgia, who passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lawson, Sr. and Kathleen Maiden Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hill Lawson; his children, Katlyn Lawson Wood (Brandon) and Landon Duane Lawson; his stepdaughters, Meagan Parker and Jessica Earp; and his siblings, Sherri Lawson Hammett (Josh Pierre), Carl Lawson, Jr. (Vickie), Karlene Whiddon (Greg), James Lawson (Carla) and Tina Zeigler (Scott). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, numerous extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor be made to the Best Friends Humane Society, 787 Ephesus Church Rd, Poulan, GA 31781.
