He is survived by: his mother Lucille Simpson of Oakwood; his wife Claudia Milton Simpson; his children, Rachel Charles Reed (Jeff) of Gainesville and Benjamin H. Charles (Mandi) of Cumming; his siblings, Wayne Simpson (Robin) of Flowery Branch and Gail Cronic of Oakwood; his sister-in-law Dixie Piper (Billy) of Ellijay; and his grandchildren, Charlie Reed, Emma Charles and Will Charles. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
