He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cecil and Dessie Doyle Butler Thompson; his son Mike Thompson; and his brothers, Bill, Hubert, Ralph and Johnny.
He is survived by: his wife Janie Wright Thompson; his daughters, Angie Boatright (Robert) and Farrah Williams (James); his grandchildren, Logan Boatright (Caitlin), Whitney Harris (Kyle), Laney Williams (Jones), Emily Williams, Michael Thompson (Laura) and Lacy Bradford (Jason); his great grandchildren, Chapman, Koan, Zachary, Charlee, Charlotte, Anna Caitlin and Rhett; and his sister Ann Humphries.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (253 Pleasant Grove Rd, Cairo, GA 39827). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
