She was predeceased by: her spouse Sidney Wesley Christopher; her parents, Ralph E. Rochester and Velma Bramblett Rochester; and her siblings, Martha Berryman, Charles Rochester, Betty Jean Rochester and James Henry Rochester.
She is survived by: her children, Brent Christopher (Valerie) of Panama City, FL and Cynthia L. Christopher of Watkinsville; her grandchildren, Wesley Fambrough (Karen) and Tina Phonekeo (Tony); and her great grandchild Silas Phonekeo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes (4355 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Athens Memory Gardens (5195 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605).
