With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gabriel Gilchrist of Odum, Georgia, who passed away on September 30, 2025 at the age of 51. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gabriel Gilchrist to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Gilchrist and Patty Martin Gilchrist. He is survived by: his wife Amy Horton Gilchrist of Odum; his children, Mallary Tyre (Rodney) of Odum, Logan Gilchrist (Bailey) of Perry and Gabriel Jace Gilchrist of Odum; his grandchildren, Maddux Mosley, Gabriele Tyre, Avary James Tyre, Camden Tyre and Sadie Gilchrist; his siblings, Jason Gilchrist (Tracy) of Phenix City, Jake Gilchrist (Bailey) of Greensboro, Nichole Gilchrist of Florala and James Gilchrist of North Carolina; and his mother-in-law Sheila Horton of Odum. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Flint Branch Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Odum City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Jace Gilchrist Scholarship Fund at Prime South Bank.
