We are sad to announce that, on January 12, 2026, at the age of 78, Rick James of Odum, Georgia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rick James to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Nelson James; his daughter Tiffany James Daniels; his brother Lance James; and his mother-in-law Josephine Tyre. He is survived by: his mother Sadie Bigon; his wife Janice Tyre James of Odum; his children, Terry Lee Horton (Stacy), Shane Poppell (Jennifer) of Madray Springs and Justin James (Kimberly) of Madray Springs; his grandchildren, Caleb Poppell (Erin), Carson Poppell, Kimball Clements, Eric Feltham, Sadie Horton, Josie, Aubrie James and Brant Landon Daniels; and his great grandchild Lakelynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
