He was predeceased by: his parents, James Robert "Jimmy" Tanner and Jacqueline Lee Heath "Evelyn"; his brother Tommy Tanner; and his nephew Dustin Tanner. He is survived by: his children, Jonathon Tanner and Alexandra "Alex" Tanner; his brothers, Mark Tanner and Eric Tanner; his nieces, Amelie Tanner Bibb and Leah Robinson; and his nephew Zach Tanner.
